Dr. Elliott grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the third child in a family of four children. His father was an M.D. specializing in pediatrics, his mother an artist and community leader.

He swam competitively in high school and played water polo in both high school and college. He enjoyed body surfing and sailing.

In high school he worked with a child psychologist, assisting with some of his clients, and was assigned to teach a class of mentally retarded high school students as a senior. In college he spent a summer studying and working in the mental health field.

Before finding and falling in love with homeopathy, Dr. Elliott worked as a physical therapist aid in nursing homes and a hospital in Northern California. Upon finding homeopathy, he resolved to become a naturopathic physician.

Dr. Elliott has three children with his first wife, and two stepchildren and a fourth child with his second wife – six children, three girls and three boys, in all. The children range from their 30’s to their teens. He is very happily married.

He is a lover of dogs, having a mini poodle and a cockapoo currently. Along with his wife, Olivia, he is an active ballroom dancer, swimmer and fitness walker.
